About the role

Lowemont Electrics' is seeking a motivated and experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team in Melbourne, VIC. This part-time role will be responsible for providing accurate cost estimates for a range of electrical projects, ensuring the profitability and success of our growing business.

What you'll be doing

  1. Reviewing project plans, specifications, and other documentation to determine the scope of work and materials required
  2. Calculating material and labour costs, factoring in overheads and profit margins
  3. Preparing detailed cost estimates and proposals for clients
  4. Collaborating with the project management team to refine estimates and address any issues
  5. Maintaining a database of cost information and historical project data
  6. Identifying opportunities to improve the estimating process and contribute to the overall efficiency of the business

What we're looking for

  1. At least 5 years of experience as an Electrical Estimator
  2. Strong understanding of electrical systems, materials, and installation processes
  3. Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical drawings, specifications, and other technical documents
  4. Excellent mathematical and analytical skills to accurately calculate costs
  5. Attention to detail and the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy
  6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with clients and internal teams
  7. Familiarity with Simpro and Groundplan estimating software and tools
