About the Portfolio

The Operations Portfolio enables an integrated, enterprise wide delivery for best practice student and staff experiences.

The Portfolio incorporates the following business units: Enterprise Projects and Business Performance (EPBP), Communications, People, Information and Technology Services (ITS), Office of the Chief Operating Officer, Procurement and Vietnam Operations.

The Portfolio houses significant drivers and delivery components across the staff and student journeys and enables the overall experience for both groups. The Portfolio is integral in bringing the RMIT strategy to life, across the globe. Each of these functions supports the global operations of the University both directly as well as through its controlled entities.

The Information Technology Services (ITS) function, provides RMIT University with current and emerging Technology systems and services. The Role

Join Us as a Delivery Lead - Technology Products

Are you passionate about driving impactful projects in the education and student experience space? We're looking for a dynamic Delivery Lead - Technology Products to lead the end-to-end delivery of exciting technology initiatives across our Learning & Teaching and Student Experience portfolio.

In this role, you'll coordinate cross-functional teams, manage vendors and resources, and ensure seamless transition from project delivery to real business outcomes. You'll work closely with key stakeholders to plan, budget, and deliver projects that make a difference.

We're looking for someone with strong experience in leading complex initiatives who can confidently manage risks and issues, support teams through technical challenges, and provide transparent reporting and insights along the way.

Skills & Experience

  • Extensive demonstrated experience in leading the delivery of IT initiatives, programs and projects, with multiple concurrent streams and varied technologies.
  • Strong consulting background and understanding of the application of technologies within the education sector.
  • Highly developed communication skills and the ability to build and maintain effective and productive relationships, particularly with senior management and stakeholders, internal and external, and to facilitate the integration of internal and external procedures and requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience in resource capacity planning, forecasting, and Agile ways of working.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide strategic support and advice, work independently as well as a productive team member, project leader or mentor, to achieve objectives operating within complex organisational structures.
  • Experience in preparing high-quality documentation, project artefacts, and presentations.
  • Experience in multi-stream release management activities such as scheduling, roadmaps, demand management, change management, and prioritisation.
  • Experience engaging and managing external vendors to project delivery outcomes.
  • Lead the delivery of initiatives assigned, working under the direction of the Associate Director, Education Technology Products, or senior management, mentoring team members, ensuring quality in delivery through application of agreed processes, and delivering complete and accurate documentation.
  • Lead and undertake end-to-end technology delivery, including but not limited to discovery, design, development, implementation, documentation, and budgeting, in a complex cross-functional education and enterprise environment.
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate activities to manage and implement various projects from ideation through the final operational stage to business benefit realisation and a business-as-usual state using an iterative approach such as tranches, releases, or sprints.
