ABOUT THE ROLE

The role of the Sous Chef is to support the Head Chef in leading Pub kitchen team.

  • Support planning menus, estimating food/labour costs, and ordering food supplies

  • Lead service, ensuring consistency and high-quality food standards

  • Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation

  • Working as an integral part of a close-knit management team

  • Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures

  • Uphold and maintain our food hygiene safety standards

  • Mentor Kitchen team members and contribution to training and development of staff

  • Lead, collaborate and foster quality relationships between the kitchen and front of house teams

ABOUT YOU

As a driven, passionate and focused individual you will possess the following attributes and skills:

  • Minimum 2 years Sous Chef experience in a high-volume venue

  • Committed to the best standards of food preparation and service

  • Experience with seasonal fresh cook to order menu

  • Knowledge and experience of kitchen food safety systems

  • Can work under pressure and is an excellent team player

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills

  • Relevant skills for stocktaking and cost control
