About the opportunity

Mercy Hospital for Women is searching for an enthusiastic, energetic, self-motivated casual Health Information Clerk.

The main focus of this role will be to provide clerical relief and support to the Health Information Services team, including; preparation and scanning of documents to the scanned medical record and associated quality assurance activities, front reception and release of information activities.

To thrive in this role, you will have:

  • Excellent time management, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt and problem solve

  • Flexibility with work hours – applicants must have good availability over the December/January peak leave period.

  • The ability to work independently and in a team environment, coupled with good interpersonal and communication skills is required​

  • Previous experience in Health Information Services will be advantageous.

You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:

  • A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.

  • Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
