Overview

Health Information Services Clerk at The Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH) is a full-time, ongoing opportunity. The Royal Melbourne Hospital is a leading public hospital in Victoria, delivering emergency, acute and specialist care with a focus on patient-centered service, medical research and innovation. The Health Information Services Clerk plays a vital role in maintaining the integrity of medical records and supporting accurate patient information management.

Location: Parkville, Victoria. The RMH values kindness, safety and excellence in the workplace.

Responsibilities

- Operate and maintain computerised health information systems (e.g., Patient Administration System (iPM), Enterprise Content Management (ECM), Electronic Medical Record (EMR/Epic)).

- Collect, prepare, scan, and quality-check medical record documents.

- Liaise with internal and external departments to maintain the integrity of medical records.

- Handle patient information requests, monitor documentation deficiencies, and support MRN merging processes.

- Follow HIS procedures and participate in safety and quality programs.
