Referee Administration Coordinator (Statewide)

Basketball Tasmania is committed to becoming the sport of choice for Tasmanians through the provision of high-quality participation experiences, development programs and services.

A critical position is available within our team driving the coordination of Referee Administration activity in each region of Tasmania. The successful candidate will work collaboratively across internal and external stakeholders to administer referee appointments, rostering and payments and collaborate to coordinate courses and training opportunities and promote and support referee development across the state.

Manage the effective and efficient match appointment co-ordination of Referees, for all BTAS competitions.

Coordinate Referee courses and training opportunities across Tasmania in collaboration with Referee Development Officers.

Engage with and support CAMs and Affiliates on recruitment initiatives

Coordinate Referee training sessions and meetings

Develop the referee community, collaboration and support networks.

Work closely with the Basketball Operations Manager to develop referee pathway plans and monitor and report on progress.

Provide recommendations for referee progression across all levels

Maintain, update, improve the Referee database to ensure relevant accreditation and contact details are available and accurate.

Attend Referee meetings

Salary conditions and package will be negotiated with the successful applicant.
