We are seeking a dynamic and proactive People and Culture Coordinator to join our collaborative and high-performing People and Culture team. This role is ideal for an HR professional who is passionate about recruitment, supporting teams, streamlining processes, and contributing to meaningful human resource initiatives across a diverse and values-led organisation.
About the Role
Working under the guidance of the Talent Acquisition Advisor, the People and Culture Coordinator provides vital support across a range of contemporary HR functions and projects. You will play a key role in enhancing the employee experience, ensuring compliance, and supporting the delivery of effective people practices aligned to our organisational goals.
This is a varied, hands-on role that spans the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding through to compliance, reporting, and general HR coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate end-to-end recruitment, including campaign development, shortlisting, interviews, referee checks, and onboarding.
- Assist in developing and maintaining role descriptions, employment contracts, and employee documentation.
- Support employment-related matters such as credentialling, visa processing, and traineeship/sponsorship coordination.
- Maintain HR systems, personnel records, and support data informed decision making through accurate reporting.
- Act as the primary phone contact for People & Culture, responding to general HR queries and directing enquiries appropriately.
- Provide timely and accurate advice on employment matters, supporting employee relations initiatives.
- Participate in regular audits and support the implementation of continuous improvement strategies.
- Ensure compliance with current legislation, internal policies, and confidentiality standards.
- Assist in reviewing and implementing HR policies, procedures, and supporting systems.
About You
Essential:
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in contemporary HR practices and employment legislation, or the ability to rapidly acquire it.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong, professional relationships across all levels of the organisation.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Well-developed attention to detail, problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Proven capability across core HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, training, and systems support.
Desirable:
- Relevant qualification in Human Resources or currently studying towards one.
Mandatory Requirements:
- National Police Check within the last 12 months
- Registration to work with Vulnerable People (with NDIS endorsement)
- Australian Citizenship, Permanent Residency, or valid Working Visa
