About the Role

We're seeking an experienced
Chief Technology Officer (CTO)
to lead technology strategy and transformation for a growing, founder-led
non-bank lender
with operations across Australia and international markets.

As part of the executive leadership team, you'll define and deliver a
modern, scalable and secure technology roadmap
— driving
cloud transformation, platform modernisation and data-driven innovation
that enables exceptional customer experiences and sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technology Strategy:
    Develop and deliver a multi-year roadmap that supports business goals and digital transformation.
  • Platform Modernisation:
    Evolve legacy systems into modular, API-based and
    cloud-native (Azure preferred)
    environments.
  • Digital Innovation:
    Champion customer-centric digital products powered by
    AI, automation and analytics
    .
  • Cybersecurity & Risk:
    Oversee enterprise-wide security, governance and regulatory compliance frameworks.
  • Leadership:
    Build, mentor and inspire a
    high-performing engineering, data and infrastructure team
    .
  • Vendor & Partner Management:
    Lead negotiations and foster strategic fintech partnerships.
  • Data & Analytics:
    Implement modern data platforms that drive insight-led decision making.
  • Governance & Reporting:
    Manage budgets, KPIs and board reporting to ensure measurable technology ROI.

About You

You're a
strategic and hands-on technology leader
who thrives at the intersection of innovation and execution. You've led major transformation across
financial services, fintech or non-bank lending
sectors.

You bring:

  • 12+ years in technology leadership, including 5+ years as CTO, CIO or Head of Engineering.
  • Deep expertise in
    software architecture, engineering, cybersecurity and data governance
    .
  • Proven success with
    cloud migration (Azure, AWS or multi-cloud)
    ,
    microservices
    and
    API ecosystems
    .
  • Experience across
    lending platforms, core banking, payments or credit systems
    .
  • Strong
    communication and stakeholder management
    skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and retain top engineering talent.
  • Commercial acumen and comfort leading change in an agile, fast-paced environment.
