As we continue to lead in technological advancements,
Vault is now entering a defining phase of growth with a strategic $22.5 million investment from the National Reconstruction Fund Corporation (NRFC).
This investment will scale Vault's SECRET Cloud and introduce new services such as the AUKUS cloud capability, directly addressing Australia's strategic national security demands. Vault is now positioned to not only strengthen its existing relationships with federal and state government agencies, but also strengthen its relationships with private sector businesses requiring secure cloud storage.To support this growth, we are bolstering our capability by adding numerous key roles that are integral to our future success. We are seeking a
Chief Information Officer (CIO)
to drive operational excellence, security compliance, and product innovation. This role is
based in our Sydney office
and is a unique opportunity to lead several high-performing teams right across Operations, Product, Security, Engineering and Quality as we bolster and expand our capability to meet the secure needs of the nation today and tomorrow the world.

What the role entails:

  • Leadership & Management: Lead the teams of Product, Operations, Security, Quality and Engineering to High Performance ensuring alignment with Vault's vision and values.
  • Product Roadmap Execution: Drive ideation, planning, governance, and execution to accelerate product development and deliver high value products to customers.
  • Security Compliance: Implement security standards to ensure operational and development activities meet compliance and risk reduction goals.
  • Infrastructure & Availability: Sustain our infrastructure and other services at high availability.
  • Quality & Continuous Improvement: Enhance Change Management, testing, and QA to optimize performance and reliability across the product portfolio.

To be successful you will be able to demonstrate with:

  • Proven experience leading high-performing teams and driving transformational projects, including product management and process optimisation.
  • Strategic IT Expertise: Ability to audit current systems, develop strategies, and implement technologies that enhance Vault's platforms, tools, and services.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across C-suite, leadership teams, and technical functions.
  • Expertise in ITIL and Agile methodologies to manage IT operations and drive efficient product delivery.
  • Experience in identifying, attracting, and retaining top technical talent.
  • Strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and the ability to develop innovative ICT solutions, particularly within a government or security-sensitive environment.
