We're now looking for a technically inclined, hands-on
Sales & Applications Executive
who enjoys working closely with food manufacturers, understanding their production processes, and helping them get the most out of quality ingredients.
Role Purpose
To strengthen our partnerships with ready-meal and food-service manufacturers by providing
practical, field-level support
on product application, yield improvement, and formulation efficiency — while working closely with our
in-house NPD Chef at the Knoxx Innovation Centre
for demonstrations and solution development.
This role is as much about
listening and problem-solving
as it is about selling.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Engagement & Process Understanding
- Visit manufacturing sites to study cooking and blending processes.
- Understand customer pain-points and identify areas where Knoxx ingredients can improve consistency, yield, or flavour.
- Recommend application methods or dosage adjustments that optimise performance and cost-efficiency.
Collaborative Product Demonstration
- Coordinate with the
in-house NPD Chef (Chef Sachin)
to plan and host joint demonstrations at the
Knoxx Innovation Centre
. - Support the Chef by preparing case examples, field learnings, and customer-specific data to make demos practical and outcome-driven.
- Document demo learnings and ensure insights are shared with the sales and R&D teams.
Business Development & Growth
- Identify potential new ready-meal manufacturers, central kitchens, and co-packers.
- Present Knoxx's ingredient solutions with a focus on functional and commercial value.
- Maintain active pipelines in CRM and follow up on trials and conversions.
Collaboration & Reporting
- Work hand-in-hand with Sales, Marketing, R&D, and Operations teams.
- Provide structured feedback from the market for product improvements and innovation opportunities.
- Submit concise weekly visit reports and progress updates to the Chief Sales Officer.
Qualifications & Experience
Education
Diploma or Degree in Food Technology, Culinary Science or Hospitality Management.
Experience
4-8 years in B2B Technical Sales, Product applications or Food Manufacturing.
Skills
Strong interpersonal and presentation abilities, good understanding, of cooking and formulation processes, ability to translate technical concepts into practical value for manufacturers.
Tools
Comfortable using CRM systems, Google Workspace, and video based product presentation.
Personality Fit
- Curious, empathetic, and commercially minded.
- Enjoys being on the road and in production kitchens alike.
- Collaborates naturally with chefs and technical teams rather than competing with them.
