About the role

As the Practice Manager at Australian Medical Care, you will play a pivotal role in the smooth and efficient operation of our medical practice in Five Dock, NSW. This full-time role is responsible for overseeing all administrative and operational aspects of the practice, ensuring our patients receive the highest quality of care. You will work closely with the medical team to support their needs and contribute to the overall success of the organisation.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage all administrative functions of the practice, including patient scheduling, medical records, and billing
  • Oversee staff scheduling and ensure adequate coverage for the practice
  • Implement and maintain efficient office procedures and systems
  • Liaise with medical staff to address their operational needs and concerns
  • Monitor and report on key practice performance metrics
  • Ensure compliance with relevant healthcare regulations and industry standards
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic plans for the practice
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment for all team members

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a medical practice management role or comparable healthcare administration position
  • Demonstrable knowledge of healthcare industry regulations, policies, and best practices
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both medical staff and patients
  • Proficient in the use of medical practice management software and Microsoft Office suite
  • Proven track record of improving operational efficiency and enhancing the patient experience
  • Passion for the healthcare industry and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care
