Systems include traditional nurse call infrastructure with both wired and wireless technology along with specialist ecosystems for dementia support, fall detection, RTLS, and wandering resident management. Expertise includes wireless IoT (internet of things), mmWave radar, voice, lidar and machine vision. All Vitalcare systems are supported via Vitalcloud, the company's secure cloud-based management and reporting network.

Vitalcare also operates 'Rosie', a 24-hour personal emergency call centre.

Role Outline
The role involves coordinating the production and assembly of electronic nurse call products including managing inventory and component acquisition.

Ideal candidate
Our ideal candidate has an interest in electronics and the manufacturing industry. who is familiar with all elements of the production cycle, including repairs and inventory management. Attributes would include:

  • Working knowledge of electronics.
  • Applicable tertiary qualifications, or experience.
  • Interest in electronic device manufacturing or production engineering.
  • Supervision experience to manage a small team.
  • Experience with office IP systems.
  • Proven self-motivation and the ability to work closely with others in a collegiate environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strict quality control measures..
  • Excellent personal communication skills.
  • Outstanding customers management skills.
  • Knowledge of, ERP systems, such as Unleashed, would be an advantage, but not essential.

Responsibilities
The role has responsibility for coordinating the manufacturing of our products including inventory purchasing, assembly and configuration. It involves working with a small team ensuring products are correctly made and provided to our installation and service teams and directly to customers. Responsibilities include:

  • Schedule electronic device assembly.
  • Manage a small warehouse, repair and assembly team.
  • Implementation of quality control procedures.
  • Maintenance and creation of product BOM (Bill Of Materials) documentation for existing and new products.
  • Inventory management and stocktaking.
  • Identify options and sources for components and materials.
  • Identify EOL material and devices and negotiate with recommended suppliers.
  • Customer service and managing outgoing sales orders.
  • Assist in the evaluation of returned materials/products.
  • Coordination of client product repairs.
  • Manage outstanding purchase orders with manufacturers and suppliers.
  • Create and maintain test instructions and assembly instructions used to manufacture products.
