About the Role

Sandstone Point Hotel is searching for a Duty Manager to work with our diverse range of bar, bistro, functions, and events staff. You will receive exposure over multiple facets of hospitality which will include a restaurant, bars, nightclub, events, festivals, functions, gaming, and retail

Essentially, you will be working as part of a large collective to run and operate Australia's Best Hotel, with the opportunity to learn and grow within a large team of experienced staff.

Day-to-Day Can Look Like…

With such a diverse portfolio, no day will be the same working for Sandstone Point Hotel. A few typical responsibilities can include:

  • Opening and closing the venue.
  • Providing support to the many different areas of the business.
  • Being the main point of contact for guests and staff alike.
  • Playing a key role in large-scale events, including numerous major outdoor events.

About You

The successful applicant will be working in a busy team environment and responsible for managing multiple staff across a diverse range of areas.

We're searching for someone who has:

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Enthusiasm with an outgoing personality.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • A high level of attention to detail.
  • Commitment to excellent customer service.
  • Availability to work flexible hours over weekends, public holidays and nights.

Previous experience is required in:

  • A similar role.
  • Bar, gaming and TAB.
  • Stock handling procedures.
  • Cash handling and operating procedures.

Experience in a high-volume environment will be also be highly regarded.

Qualifications

  • Current RSA
  • Current RSG
  • Current RMLV (ESSENTIAL)
  • Approved Managers License (ESSENTIAL)
