And… what is the job?

The Accountant is an integral member of the Finance team, reporting to the Financial Controller and working closely with the Finance Officer. The purpose of the role is to ensure the capture, analysis and reporting of accurate and timely financial information, to enable appropriate decision making by the business. Key tasks include Month end processing and reporting, assisting with Budget and Forecast preparation, Year End reporting and Quarterly and Annual APRA reporting. Additionally, this role will be back-up for the Finance Officer role which includes the payroll and accounts payable functions.

Who are you?

To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate significant practical experience in a similar Accountant position (accompanied by relevant tertiary qualifications). Specifically, you will possess:

  • Sound working knowledge of Accounting Standards;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and able to proactively identify efficiencies and business improvements;
  • Great organisational ability, interpersonal skills (communication and team collaboration) and high level of attention to detail, and
  • A background within a highly regulated industry or not-for-profit would be helpful but not a 'deal breaker' …. so we encourage you to apply.

Our office is located in the Adelaide CBD, so you need to be currently residing in Adelaide and possess Australian work rights for your application to be considered.
