We are looking for a great match for an Accountant with a Customer of ours. This is also a role we know well. This role would suit someone who is passionate about in-house Accounting first and foremost. You could be currently working in Public Practice but yearn for something more hands-on where you can see that what you do matters.

This Adelaide-based organisation has a national reach and is a leader in their field so you'll need to be able to have your hands in the day-to-day detail and also be part of the bigger picture. This pivotal role demands someone with the ability to raise both simple and complex invoices for both high-level Projects and regular maintenance contracts. You'll be working closely with the Financial Controller and other departmental mangers to ensure the revenue for the organisation is issued correctly, promptly and is paid on time. This role will also have a pivotal responsibility to chart the incoming cashflow of the organisation and complete reconciliations to the Balance Sheet of relevant general ledger accounts. The role is based just north of Adelaide's CBD, with flexible working options available once the role is under your belt. You'll have proven experience (+5 years) of working for a medium to large organisation and supporting internal departments.

With an almost 20-year history, our Customer's team has high-level and hands-on experience across industrial and commercial industry sectors. Team members have played a significant role in the design and development of a substantial percentage of many major projects across Australia over the last 25 years. They have extensive experience in the installation and maintenance of all types of industrial and commercial systems, working across a diverse range of industries. Their projects range in value from a few thousand to many millions of dollars on simple to highly complex projects across Australia and in Asia.

The Role:

• Is full-time
• Onsite based in Adelaide
• Is responsible for the accurate and timely delivery of invoice-raising, debtor management, reconciling project/job revenue and costs and reconciling relevant Balance Sheet general ledger accounts
• Assists with the annual budget process and forecasting
• Works under the Financial Controller as part of a team of 5

Your Story:

This role's ideal for you if:

• You have a Bachelor Degree in Accounting and/or are CPA qualified with a minimum of 1 year's experience
• You have Advanced Microsoft Word and Excel skills
• You have experience in a project-based revenue environment
• You have experience with working capital management
• You have exposure to budgeting, forecasting and 3-way modelling
• You have previous experience in the use of software applications, particularly SimPro and XERO or similar project-based systems
• You have experience in the collection, analysis and presentation of accurate and useful financial data
• You love working independently but part of a high-performing team
• You love the detail and make problem solving your priority
• You enjoy an environment that has variety and is fast-paced
