An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Finance team.

About the role

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer and Financial Controller, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Financial accounting and reporting.
  • Cost and management accounting - prepare and/or review relevant costing and margin analysis.
  • Provide timely monthly management reports.
  • Year-end financial reporting ensuring that the accounts comply with statutory requirements.
  • Making recommendations/improvements based upon financial analysis and critical thinking.
  • Assisting with Finance projects and initiatives.
  • Preparing relevant financial modelling.
  • Review, update and improve financial accounting processes and procedures.
  • Assist with implementing accounting policies and procedures as required.
  • Provide relief back up to other accounting staff in the performance of similar duties.

This position is a fully onsite role (No WFH), allowing you to work closely with the team

About you:

The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:

  • CPA or CA qualifications (or working towards).
  • Bachelor of Commerce, or similar.
  • 2 – 3 years experience in an accounting position, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience in financial accounting and compilation of information for use in decision making
  • Experience using an ERP system (JDE or similar) and/or MYOB
