Job Description
Due to internal progression, we are looking for an Associate Director to join our Human Resources team in either our Melbourne, Brisbane, or Sydney office. This role supports the ANZ HR Operations Director in providing additional senior capability to the HR function within Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand, delivering our People strategy within the region. The Associate Director leads the implementation of HR services, policies, and programs through the Human Resources staff and frontline management, providing support and guidance to people leaders about Human Resources practices, processes, and issues.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
- Strategic Delivery: Partner with the ANZ Operations Director to implement the regional People Plan and key initiatives.
- Leadership Support: Provide expert HR advice and coaching to people leaders across the business.
- Operational Oversight: Lead the delivery of HR services, policies, and programs through local and offshore teams.
- Employee Lifecycle: Drive best practice across recruitment, onboarding, development, and offboarding.
- Policy & Compliance: Develop, maintain, and communicate HR policies aligned with local legislation and global standards.
- Data & Insights: Oversee HR reporting and analytics to inform decision-making and track progress.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships across the business and with the global HR team to ensure alignment and consistency.
We are looking for a proactive and adaptable HR leader who thrives in a fast-paced collaborative environment. To be successful in your application, we are looking for the following:
- Work Rights: Current and valid right to work in Australia.
- Education: Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, or relevant certification(s).
- Experience: 8-10 years in HR, ideally progressing through Advisor and Business Partner roles.
- Industry Knowledge: Background in consultancy, engineering, or construction environments is preferred.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to engage at all levels.
- Problem Solving: Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to resolving complex issues.
- Organisation: High attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
