**About the Role**

Our team has been engaged by one of Queensland's leading Government Departments to assist in sourcing an effective Human Resources Consultant for a dedicated, department-wide project.

The primary purpose of this role is to consult closely with business leaders and managers to process the ongoing maintenance of the HR establishment inside the client's HRIS - Aurion.

Updates to the establishment include, but is not limited to, records of all full time, part time and fixed-term positions, records of staff and organisational structure.

**Key responsibilities**
- Engage with managers across the department to review the HR establishment and identify changes required
- Obtain prior approvals for establishment changes, if available
- Prepare briefs seeking approval to establishment changes including abolishment of positions
- Consult with HR and Finance divisions where appropriate
- Work with the Payroll team to adjust establishment records in line with authorised documentation provided
- Work with HR, IT and Finance to effect changes that may be required in other systems or tools
- Partner with the business to develop process for the ongoing maintenance of establishment, including roles and responsibilities

**Key capabilities**
- Highly effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability working effectively with a wide range of stakeholders

**Highly desirable**
- Human Resource Information Systems experience, preferably Aurion
- Undergraduate or higher degree qualification in a human resources-related discipline
