Our client is an ASX 100, iconic market leader, and today they are seeking to appoint a dedicated and talented Human Resources Officer to support their Solid Waste Services business units in Brisbane and broader Qld region. This is an opportunity to partner with the Senior HRBP and extended HR team to deliver human resources support, advice and outcomes aligned with their values and operational requirements.

**Your key responsibilities will include**:

- Proactively supporting the Solid Waste Services multi-site business unit
- Providing day to day HR support/advice to the Leadership Team, Managers and Employees
- As a HR Officer you will have the opportunity to coach and develop managers and employees to support their individual performance, role design, recruitment, succession planning and employee engagement initiatives
- Liaising/negotiating with external stakeholders including unions
- Facilitate investigations, disciplinary and termination and processes
- Lead sustainable Enterprise Agreement strategies and plans along with negotiations
- Support the optimisation of labour and be comfortable dealing with key productivity metrics
- Drive diversity & inclusion initiatives and employee experience

**What you will bring to this role**:

- Approx 2 years' experience working within a Human Resource team providing pragmatic support (to ideally white and blue collar stakeholders, but this is not essential)
- Tertiary qualifications in HR / ER or related discipline (ideal)
- Exposure to a HR metrics and outcomes driven environment
- Some experience in ER/IR activities including providing advice and recommendations on performance management, the resolution of grievances and facilitation of investigations, along with some support in the negotiation of Enterprise Agreements
- Experience working with various people systems to support recruitment, payroll & remuneration, learning & development activities
- Experience in delivering high quality HR advisory services in a complex and busy environment
- An understanding of employee relations legislation, including an understanding of researching industrial relations legislation and related topics
- Broad demonstrated knowledge of the entire HR lifecycle and functions
- Ability to work with various people System and analyse data to make informed decisions
