Location: Mount Hawthorn, Western Australia

Salary: $75,000 – $85,000 + Superannuation

Job Type: Full-Time

Tsukayama Au Pty Ltd (T/A Tsukaya) is currently seeking an experienced Cook to join our team in Mount Hawthorn, Western Australia.

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have one of the following:

  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery, including at least two years of on-the-job training,
  • Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery, OR
  • At least three years of relevant full-time work experience in a similar role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow recipes and preparation methods to produce authentic Japanese dishes with consistency and quality.
  • Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and meet food safety standards.
  • Prepare ingredients such as seafood, meat, vegetables, and rice for daily service.
  • Operate and maintain Japanese kitchen equipment including grills, fryers, and rice cookers.
  • Cook dishes using Japanese culinary techniques such as grilling, frying, simmering, and slicing.
  • Present dishes attractively and in line with Japanese dining aesthetics.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen and workstations at all times.
  • Assist senior chefs with food preparation, menu items, and stock rotation as required.
