About the Role:

We are seeking a professional and reliable Security Officer to join our team at a busy gaming venue. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in providing a safe, welcoming environment for patrons and staff, while ensuring the venue operates smoothly and within compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and screen patrons upon entry (ID checks, RSA compliance)
  • Maintain a visible presence in the gaming area to deter disruptive behaviour
  • Monitor patron behaviour and intervene when necessary to de-escalate issues
  • Assist with crowd control and patron flow during peak hours
  • Ensure gaming floor rules, RSA, and venue policies are followed
  • Complete incident and shift reports accurately
  • Liaise with venue staff and emergency services when required
  • Respond to alarms, disturbances, or incidents calmly and professionally

Requirements:

  • Current and valid Victorian Security Licence and First Aid certificate
  • Previous experience in licensed venues or gaming environments preferred
  • Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to remain alert, professional, and courteous at all times
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and public holidays
  • Strong attention to detail and observational skills
  • Well-groomed, presentable appearance
