Senior Employment Relations Partner

About the role.
Due to an internal promotion, we are searching for a Senior Employment Relations Partner - ANZ to join our team. This position will lead a small team, to provide expert advice, guidance and coaching to our business leaders on the breadth of employment relations across Australia and New Zealand. You will be critical in supporting our leaders in maintaining compliance with legislative and policy instruments, while helping the business to build a positive, collaborative and high-performance environment for their teams.
This is a permanent full-time position based in our Hamilton support office, with a hybrid arrangement requiring 80% of your time in office.
Key responsibilities of the position will include:
- Provide technical and operational leadership to a small team of ER professionals, to support their ongoing development and ensure our business maintains compliance with legislative and policy instruments.
- Partner with ANZ operations leadership to proactively identify and address emerging workplace issues to prevent escalations
- Act as the escalation point for complex employee relations matters, providing expert guidance and resolution support.
- Develop and distribute reporting on key metrics relating to employee relations.
- Provide ongoing coaching and training to our leaders on employment relations to upskill and improve employee outcomes.
About you.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
- You will be an experienced employment relations professional, who is ready to take the step or has recently transitioned into people leadership.
- Detailed experience in conducting and leading complex workplace investigations and employee relations matters.
- Highly refined knowledge of Australia and New Zealand employment law and industrial relations practices.
- Strong interpersonal, conflict resolution and business partnering skills.
- Tertiary level qualifications in Human Resources, Business, Law or Psychology.
This position would be suited to an experienced leader, or a senior ER Advisor looking for an opportunity to step up into a leadership position.
