Be the voice of expertise in Employment Relations.

Provide expert employment relations leadership, drive strategic policy development and represent Metro South Health at Eight Mile Plains . This role is temporary full time for 6 months.

*Your new role:*

As the Principal Consultant, Employment Relations, you will play a key role in delivering expert industrial and employment relations advice across Metro South Health. You will:

  • Lead the development, review and maintenance of HR policies, procedures and supporting frameworks.
  • Provide high-level advice, research and analysis on complex employment relations and human resource matters.
  • Represent Metro South Health in industrial tribunals and commissions, including preparing submissions and advocacy as required.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including unions, government agencies and health service teams, while managing a small team and contributing to a positive workforce culture.

*About you:*

You are a strategic, influential and solutions-focused professional with deep expertise in employment and industrial relations. You will have:

  • Demonstrated capability in analysing, developing and evaluating HR policy and procedure documentation within a complex service environment.
  • A strong knowledge of industrial relations legislation, awards and agreements relevant to the Queensland public sector and public health system.
  • A highly developed research, analytical, communication and advocacy skills, with the ability to prepare high-quality reports, submissions and advice.
  • The proven ability to negotiate, influence and build productive relationships while providing leadership, coaching and support to others.
