Senior Project Officer (Aboriginal) - Talent Pool

Opportunity: Clerk Grade 9/10 Talent Pool 
Salary range: $129,464 - $142,665 + super
Location: Flexible working conditions within NSW 
Employment type: Ongoing/Temporary Full Time 

Our Department is rapidly expanding, and we are searching for proactive and motivated team members to join our project teams within the Department Customer Service NSW. 

These talent pools are for the employment of an Aboriginal person in line with the Department's Aboriginal Employment Strategy. 

As a Senior Project Officer, you can expect to work as a team and coordinate a range of projects. You will lead project management strategies and activities to contribute to the development and delivery of a range of projects to meet business objective, with a lens of culturally informed project research, analysis, reporting, and implementation.

A typical day of work for you might include:   

• Manage, coordinate and implement a range of projects applying sound project management principles. 
• Manage and oversee all aspects of the project cycle, including developing project plans, identifying and coordinating resources, managing budgets, supplier and contract management and meeting reporting requirements to ensure project outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, to quality standards and approved project management methodology 
• Develop and maintain customer, stakeholders and vendor relationships through effective communication and negotiation. 
• Continuously monitor and evaluate all aspects of project implementation, including risk and contingency management, benefits realisation, project impact and quality measures, to identify and address issues, assess project progress and effectiveness, and achieve project outcomes 
• Manage a project team/s, ensuring compliance with governance and quality requirements, to successfully deliver all key milestones and outcomes 
• Undertake research and formulate recommendations to support evidence-based project planning and decision making

 Essential Requirement: This is an Identified role and evidence of Aboriginality is required.
