About the role

We are seeking a part-time days a week) Medical Receptionist to join our growing practice in Sandringham, Victoria. As the first point of contact for our patients, this role is crucial in ensuring a positive experience and maintaining the smooth running of our practice.

About us

ProMind Care is a leading provider of mental health services in the Sandringham area. We provide private psychiatric assessment and management for patients aged 16 and older, with special focus on the comprehensive assessment and management of ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder in women. Our other areas of interest are mood disorders, anxiety disorders including OCD and eating disorders. Our mission is to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care to our patients, and we are committed to creating a supportive and inclusive workplace for our team.

What you'll be doing

  • Greeting patients and visitors in a warm and professional manner
  • Managing patient appointments and billing, including Medicare claiming
  • Handling patient enquiries and providing information about our services
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records and files
  • Handling general medical administration and reception tasks
  • Upholding patient confidentiality at all times
  • Referral triaging
  • Maintaining a paperless office

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience as a medical receptionist is preferred but not essential
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with patients in a friendly and professional manner
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks
  • Impeccable attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records
  • Strong computer skills
  • Reliability and a solid work ethic
  • Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality
  • Ability to work well in a team
