About the role

We are seeking an experienced and friendly part-time medical receptionist to join our team at Hall Road Medical Centre in Carrum Downs, VIC. As a medical receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth running of our busy medical practice.

This part-time position requires 26-30 hours per week.

What you'll be doing

  • Greeting and welcoming patients, both in person and on the phone, with a friendly and professional manner
  • Scheduling and managing patient appointments efficiently
  • Handling patient inquiries and providing information about our services
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records and patient information
  • Assisting with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry and general office duties
  • Ensuring the reception area is well-organised and presentable at all times

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience as a General Practice Medical receptionist or in a similar customer service role
  • A minimum of 1 year experience as a General Practice Medical receptionist is required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with patients of all ages and backgrounds
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
  • Proficient in using medical practice software, preferably Best Practice and computer systems
  • A friendly, professional, and empathetic approach to patient care
  • A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and respecting patient privacy
  • Australian work rights are required for this position
