As a relatively young charity (10 years old), there are still so many ways to grow and improve what we do – and we are looking for people who would relish the challenge of being a part of this phase.
This Full-time Role Will Have Responsibility For
- Sourcing and developing compelling written and digital content across all digital/media platforms
- Providing high quality written communications in a variety of material, including newsletters, media releases, reports, stories, opinion pieces, articles
- Undertaking the day-to-day coordination of the Share the Dignity social media accounts
- Assisting with the development and implementation of brand awareness and tactical campaigns
- Overseeing media relations
- Communicating effectively in both internal communications to our staff and volunteers, and in external communications to stakeholders
You will be someone who enjoys the challenge of working in various mediums and thrives in adapting your communication style to suit distinct audiences. You will love getting into the detail of our organisation and ensuring effective communication occurs across all aspects of the charity. You will be a collaborative team player who pitches in when needed in a small team.
This role has been identified as interacting with children and young people-the successful applicant will be required to obtain a Working with Children Check prior to commencing in the role (at their own cost).
To Be a Successful Candidate, You Will Have
- A bachelor's degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications or Public Relations, along with strong hands-on experience in a similar role. We're looking for someone who can hit the ground running with proven skills in digital marketing, content creation, media relations, and campaign delivery.
- Proven experience with writing content for and managing social media accounts, writing content for editorials and managing website content
- Experience gained in working with communities, organisations supporting disadvantaged women, communities, social impact or a related sector would be considered advantageous
- Demonstrated success in contributing to innovative marketing, communications, digital and multimedia campaigns to grow brand value and community engagement
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the demonstrated ability to present information clearly in person and in writing
Your exceptional organisational skills and ability to effectively prioritise to meet key deadlines, along with your strong writing skills, eye for accuracy and commitment to brand consistency, are keys to your ongoing success.
Location
Brisbane, Northern Suburbs – Virginia.
