About the role
We're thrilled to offer a fantastic opportunity to join ELGAS as a Business Development Specialist, based out at Geelong surrounding region. This full-time role will be responsible for generating new business opportunities and driving the company's growth strategy. You will identify and secure new clients across a range of industries.

What you will enjoy doing
- Identify and secure new business within assigned territories, focusing on acquiring profitable competitor customers.
- To secure new business within the potential of each market sector in your area in line with annual Business Plans and Budgets
- Meet sales targets for LPG and Industrial gases, maintaining customer data in the system
- Maintain records of competitors' customers and develop trade alliances and maintain an active pipeline of opportunities in Sales Force, up to date with leads and successes
- Submit timely monthly reports covering margins, volumes, and competitor activity
- Ensure customers have valid supply agreements and comply with safety standards
- Collaborate with customer service, branch, and transport teams to maintain service levels
What makes you great
- You will demonstrate in-depth knowledge of customer needs and technical expertise
- You are from sales, business development or market development background
- Energy industry experience in a business-to-business environment would be an advantage
- Ability to think outside the square and have an open-minded approach
- You possess strong work ethics with good negotiating and conflict resolution skills with understanding of price management
- Strong commitment to safety, comply with ELGAS Safety Standards and Regulations
- Hold a valid and clean driver's license
