Your new role
Reporting to the Transport Manager, we have an opportunity available to join our close-knit team in St Mary's. This position is responsible for ensuring the effective and safe movement of all freight into and out of our yards.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Promote a safety first culture ensuring commitment to safety, Chain of Responsibility and NHVL.
- Overseeing day to day admin duties
- Being the go to contact for escalated queries from drivers, clients & internal teams
- Leading the invoice cycle and driver pay processes
- Ensuring accurate and timely data entry & reporting
- Onboarding new customers and drivers into our systems
- Proactive management of customers, driver & internal stake holder relationships
- Assist the Transport Manager in day to day operations via administration of Transport operations.
- Assist the transport allocator in the day to day admin tasks associated with scheduling of drivers
To Be Successful In This Opportunity, You Will Have
- Proven experience in a similar position
- Knowledge of relevant transport industry codes and legislation
- Verbal and written communication skills and computer skills
- Excellent scheduling, planning, and time management skills
- Good problem-solving skills and an outstanding eye for detail
