Wear Accountants is an innovative and boutique firm located in Arundel, just off the M1. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality accounting solutions while fostering a supportive, flexible, and growth-oriented work environment.

As a Xero partner practice, we utilise the latest technology and industry best practices to serve a diverse client base. Our clients include small to medium businesses (up to $30M turnover) with a mix of professional services, manufacturing, trade industries, and self-funded retirees/investors.

At Wear Accountants you'll work with engaged business clients, helping them with preparing monthly and quarterly reporting, BAS, payroll, financial statements and providing tax planning and business advisory services.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an Accountant with at least 3 years of experience in public practice and strong technical skills and a proactive advisory mindset to join our team. In this role, you will:

  • Prepare financial statements and tax returns for sole traders, companies, trusts, and SMSFs.
  • Handle BAS, IAS, payroll, and compliance matters.
  • Work closely with our Senior Associate to enhance your learning and career progression.
  • Engage with clients to provide expert tax planning advice and business forecasting solutions.
  • Consult with clients on business optimisation, management reporting and technology improvement & implementation.

What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a public practice accounting firm.
  • A degree in Accounting and commenced (or planning to start) your CA/CPA/IPA qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of Xero (we are a Xero practice and have some clients using MYOB or industry specific software as well).
  • Solid understanding of Australian tax compliance and legislation including Division 7A, CGT, FBT and structuring.
  • Excellent communication and client engagement skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and collaborate effectively in a team.
