**About You**

We are looking for a driven and passionate Accounts Payable Officer to become a core member of our Shared Services Finance Team.

As the Accounts Payable Officer your primary function is to provide support to the Senior Accounts Payable Officer and the Management Accountants, with group support and transactional oversight where required.

Your key tasks will include processing of transactional data including vendor, customer and item

transactions, inter entity charges/reconciliations, bank and credit card reconciliations, end of month

workpapers as well as contributing to the financial analysis and improvement of the group’s general ledger integrity.

You will be required to work within strict timeframes and set deadlines to meet Buildsafe’s obligations to various entities, the directors and shareholders.

**About the role**

As the Accounts Payable Officer, you will provide support to the Finance team by assisting with the below:
**ACCOUNTS SUPPORT/FINANCIAL ANALYSIS**
- Bank reconciliations
- Credit card approvals and ensuring cardholder compliance
- Reconciliation of key balance sheet accounts with supporting documents or workpapers
- Recording of journals
- Inter entity transactions/reconciliations
- Document and folder management, along with adhoc accounting duties
- Provide ad hoc expense analysis and account reconciliations

**ACCOUNTS PAYABLE**
- Reconcile supplier statements
- Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
- Enter vendor bill records according to Accounts Payable process and controls
- Sending vendor remittances
- Attending to vendor pay run dates, including EFT and manual payments
- Accurate processing of payments through banking facilities.
- Preparation, distribution and analysis of any Accounts Payable reports as required
