Sydney, New South Wales, Australia LegalVision ILP Pty Ltd Full time $90,000 - $120,000 per year

LegalVision is a market disruptor in the commercial legal services industry. Our innovative business model and custom-built technology allow our lawyers to provide a faster, better quality and more cost-effective client experience. LegalVision is a leader in delivering legal services in Australia and has assisted more than 150,000 businesses across Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom. We were named a LinkedIn Top Startup, one of Lawyers Weekly's Top 25 Attraction Firms, and Law Firm of the Year at the Australasian Law Awards.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a 1-3 PQE lawyer to join our Employment practice. In this fast-paced role, you'll be working across a broad range of employment law matters to help clients anticipate, manage and resolve legal issues. Our team services businesses of all sizes, from small and medium-sized businesses and startups to large enterprises. We focus on providing efficient, cost-effective and quality advice through our innovative subscription model.

The successful candidate will demonstrate technical capability in employment law, effective project management and client service skills, and a genuine interest in contributing to LegalVision's growth.

This is an opportunity to practice law differently - without the inflexibility, micromanagement and facetime of traditional law firms. You'll enjoy the benefits of autonomy and flexibility, whilst working alongside legal experts who genuinely care about and are invested in your professional growth.

Things you'll be doing:

  • Providing general advice on non-contentious employment law matters.
  • Reviewing, drafting and updating standard employment documents such as contracts of employment, settlement agreements and staff handbooks.
  • Supporting clients and advising on recruitment, onboarding, application of their internal policies and employee terminations.
  • Managing employment litigation matters and external counsel where necessary.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experienced: 1-3 years of employment law experience in a reputable law firm or employment focused in-house position.
  • Attentive: Brilliant attention to detail - nothing ever slips through the cracks.
  • Efficient: Prioritises effectively, focuses on what matters and works productively.
  • Commercial: Demonstrates business acumen and cares about business growth (including helping to grow LegalVision further).
  • Collaborative: Gets a kick out of working with smart, fun and passionate people and learning from them.
  • Adaptable: Grasps new concepts quickly, improves every day and goes with the flow.
  • Service Orientated: Loves assisting clients and providing an amazing experience.
  • Optimistic: Sees the best in situations, is solutions-focused and never gives up.

The Perks

  • Fast-paced environment with accelerated growth opportunities for high performers.
  • Talented and energetic teammates across the UK, Australia and New Zealand.
  • Earn additional 'LV Leave' days, plus paid birthday leave, volunteering leave, and parental leave.
  • Annual budget to spend on external learning and development.
  • Regular team socials, drinks and team lunches.
  • Vibrant office environment in Surry Hills super close to Central Station, and flexible work-from-home options.

Apply Today

If this role sounds like it could be a great next step, we'd love to hear from you. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis and will close once the role is filled, so apply early to avoid missing out.

A note to recruiters: we're all over this role, so there's no need for you to get in touch. LegalVision does not accept unsolicited CVs or responsibility for any fees related to unsolicited CVs. Thanks
