Are you looking to get off the tools? This newly created role provides entry into Heavy Vehicle Componentry with an opportunity for career growth and progression.

Reporting to the Spare Parts Manager, this role requires you to be responsible for customer liaison and interpretation of part requirements for heavy tipping equipment.

About us

Chris's Body Builders is built on our people, we all work together in a team orientated environment to build state of the art tipping truck bodies and tipping trailers. Wether its on a construction site or in a paddock, take a look and you will see our trailers on the highway every day. We cover all areas of tipping transport in vehicles fabricated from steel, Hardox and aluminium.

Our manufacturing facility and role is located in Melbourne's western suburbs. We require a Spare Parts Interpreter to join our skilled workforce to work alongside our existing parts team.

Position

  • Work alongside our spare parts department with their spare parts needs and maximise quick turnaround times for customers
  • Support the sales team in the coordination and processing of required parts for a given sales order.
  • Receive and complete telephone and online order for parts, as well as customer sales.
  • Coordinate delivery of required components for repairs and aftersales support.
  • Coordinate returns and warranty exchanges of components
  • Estimate date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of production and delivery schedules.
  • Work alongside production staff to maintain stores and work areas
  • Interpret parts requirements for customers using drawings and documentation

Desired competencies:

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Experience in parts interpretation roles.
  • An ability to work as part of a team and work well under pressure
  • A high level of self-motivation and time management
  • Good computer skills
  • Familiarity with ERP and MRP systems
  • Willingness to use initiative to solve problems
  • Have a current driver's licence, forklift licence (not essential)
  • Own transport
