Izakaya DOMO located at Melbourne's iconic GPO, is growing and we are looking for passionate, energetic, and creative Hot Food Chefs/Cooks to join our high-quality Japanese kitchen. If you got a love for Japanese cuisine and the skills to match, and you are keen to be part of a dynamic team and supportive team, we'd love to hear from you.

We are after someone who's confident in the daily operations of a busy kitchen and brings strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence. You'll play a key role in ensuring all dishes are prepared and presented to our standards, while also maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organised workplace.

What you will need:

  • Great communication skills and an ability to work well as part of the team.
  • At least 1 year of Japanese Hot Food Cook experience.
  • At least 1 year of Izakaya Kitchen experience highly regarded.
  • At least 1 year of Japanese Restaurant Kitchen experience.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Japanese language skill is a plus
  • Mon-Sun, 38 hours shift work.
  • You must have a valid work visa(i.e. Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident Visa or New Zealand Citizen....)
