Our services are provided at sites across greater Sydney including the Blue Mountains.

About The Role

Reporting to the Executive Manager, Operations, you will lead teams in Supported Independent Living Services that enable our clients to reach their goals and achieve their potential by supporting their right of choice and control with the provision of quality, personalised support.

Within this role you will act as the Site Manager across all Home and Living locations/regions when the current incumbent is on leave. You will need to be flexible and able to work throughout the greater Sydney region, including the Blue Mountains, for periods of leave coverage.

Facing different challenges every day this role presents the opportunity to work with vulnerable people with complex and challenging behaviour. It will allow you the opportunity to make a real difference in the life of our residents and support dedicated teams who want to see them succeed.

The role includes:

  • Lead, Support and Supervision of a team of Disability Support Workers.
  • Coordination of the care and services to the people we support in each SIL home.
  • Coordination of SIL home resources, including shared spaces, assets and vehicle.
  • Lead safe work practices at site with a risk awareness and management focus.
  • Striving to achieve the goals set by the people we support and ensuring they have a say in their services and have choice and control in their own home.
  • Ensuring all documentation is current and relevant plans are in place.
  • Managing key stakeholder relationships.

Criteria and Experience:

  • Complex, challenging behaviour sector experience is essential.
  • Relevant qualifications of a Diploma level or above.
  • Flexibility to work outside of standard business hours to meet clients' needs
  • Demonstrated experience in building team capability and maintaining effectiveness.
  • Solid understanding of the NDIS Quality, Safeguarding Framework and Practice Standards
  • Working knowledge of budget management.
  • Ability to understand and utilise data for decision making and reporting.
  • Implementing policies and procedures, leading change and driving continuous improvement.
  • Strong stakeholder relationship building skills
  • Above average written and verbal communication skills

Successful applicants will require a current NSW Drivers Licence and a current First Aid certificate. An offer will be subject to a police clearance, a pre employment medical and a NDIS Worker Screening Check.
