Position

The Head of Accounting & Tax will lead the finance team across ANZ, overseeing all accounting, tax compliance, and financial governance. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate reporting, adherence to accounting standards and tax legislation, and driving continuous improvement through digital transformation. As a senior finance leader, the position plays a key role in shaping financial strategy, managing risk, and partnering with executive leadership to support long-term growth.

Profile

The ideal candidate will be CA or CPA qualified and bring several years of senior finance experience, including at least 5 years in tax and financial reporting or accounting leadership roles. They will possess a deep understanding of Australian accounting standards, corporate tax legislation, and regulatory compliance. A proven track record in managing external audits, tax compliance, and financial reporting is essential, along with demonstrated experience leading digital transformation within finance. The candidate will have excellent leadership skills and a history of building high-performing finance teams. Strong stakeholder management, influencing capabilities, and advanced analytical and problem-solving skills are also required. Experience in complex, multi-entity or multinational environments is highly regarded, and familiarity with ERP systems. SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite is preferred.
