They ensure team competency and client satisfaction through timely, accurate, and high-quality deliverables.Outcomes: 1. Leadership & Team DevelopmentProvide structured training, coaching, and leadership to the accounting, tax, and payroll teams, ensuring they remain fully updated on evolving accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance obligations. Build a high-performing, client-centric team culture, instilling accountability, efficiency, and a focus on quality delivery. Oversee workforce planning, timely hiring, and effective onboarding to maintain service capacity and excellence. 2. Service Delivery & ComplianceTake full ownership of client work delivery, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to SLAs across all engagements. Oversee the preparation and filing of corporate returns, tax obligations (PAYG, GST, corporate tax), superannuation, and Single Touch Payroll (STP) reporting. Ensure compliance with ASIC, and ATO requirements for both companies and trusts, while safeguarding clients against regulatory risk. 3. Operational Excellence & ProfitabilityMonitor, measure, and continuously improve team performance, processes, and workflows to enhance productivity and gross profitability. Implement swift corrective actions where service issues arise, maintaining client confidence and long-term relationships. Partner with leadership to set and achieve operational and financial targets for Sleek Australia. 4. Process & Technology EnablementContribute to the ongoing enhancement of Sleek's proprietary accounting bot by integrating updated resources, regulatory insights, and best practices. Identify opportunities to leverage automation, AI, and digital tools to streamline workflows, reduce errors, and increase scalability. Standardise processes and reporting frameworks to ensure consistency and reliability in client delivery. 5. Strategic ContributionAct as a key member of the leadership team, providing input into business strategy, service development, and client experience improvements. Anticipate future regulatory and industry shifts, proactively adapting Sleek's capabilities to maintain a competitive edge. Serve as an ambassador of Sleek's mission to simplify accounting and compliance for SMEs, driving both client success and business growth. Required Experience Recognised degree in Accountancy or equivalent. Professionally certified preferably with ACCA, CPA, or CA qualification. Proven track record of more than 8  years of leadership experience in a public accounting practice with sizable operations. Good understanding of Australian regulatory compliance. Resourceful and experience with various productivity software applicable to facilitate daily work, including the use of AI to streamline work. Self-motivated, positive attitude, proactive, highly-organised and detail-oriented. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Able to adapt to VUCA way of thinking and contribute to process improvement efforts. Able to meet tight deadlines. Preferably a Tax Agent - not mandatory.
