Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynecology, pediatrics, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery. The Nepean Campus has recently experienced tremendous growth and aims to support communities within and outside of Sydney's western suburbs, providing world-class clinical facilities, services, and care.

We are seeking a dedicated and professional individual to deliver high-quality frontline customer service to patients and clients attending our Medical and Surgical Outpatient Departments. This role supports clinical teams by ensuring the smooth daily operation of clinics, managing waitlists and appointments, and maintaining strict confidentiality. The successful candidate will communicate regularly with department leaders to ensure efficient service delivery, uphold NSW Health policies and procedures, and contribute to the optimization of funding models. Strong time management and prioritization skills are essential, along with a commitment to representing the department with professionalism in both presentation and attitude.

What you will bring to the role

Demonstrated experience in a clinic setting, including reception duties, phone inquiries, appointment scheduling, and data entry.

Demonstrated effective customer service skills

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills.

Demonstrated knowledge of Medicare eligibility and billing practices.

Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.

Demonstrated ability to learn new processes.

Ability to be flexible and display initiative.
