Chill Chill Pty Ltd trading as Haad Thai is a well-established Thai restaurant located in Carindale QLD 4152, offering both authentic traditional Thai dishes and modern Western-style Thai cuisine. Our menu showcases the rich flavours of Thailand while embracing contemporary presentation and fusion concepts to cater to diverse customer tastes.

We pride ourselves on using fresh local ingredients combined with genuine Thai herbs and spices to deliver high-quality dining experiences. To maintain our growing customer base and uphold our culinary standards, we are now seeking a qualified full-time Chef to join our kitchen team.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and cook menu items in accordance with restaurant standards and recipes.
  • Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during service.
  • Check the quality and freshness of ingredients, ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are maintained.
  • Develop new menu items and contribute to seasonal menu planning.
  • Control portion sizes and minimise food wastage.
  • Ensure kitchen equipment is properly maintained and cleaned.
  • Monitor stock levels and assist in ordering supplies.
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff and apprentices.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Minimum Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification.
  • At least one years of relevant full-time work experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen.
  • Strong understanding of food safety and workplace hygiene requirements.
  • Proven ability to manage kitchen operations in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creativity and attention to detail in food presentation.
  • Good communication and leadership skills
