Qualified Chef / Pizza Chef – Woodfired Pizza & Classic Pub Cuisine

We're a busy, fast-paced pub kitchen serving up quality Australian classics, woodfired pizzas, steaks, pastas, and more. With a loyal local crowd and a reputation for great food and good vibes, we're on the lookout for an experienced Qualified Chef or Pizza Chef to join our growing team.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking a motivated and experienced chef who thrives under pressure and knows how to deliver consistent quality in a fast-paced kitchen. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Australian cuisine, strong knife skills, and solid knowledge of:

  • Woodfired Pizza – Dough handling, topping balance, oven timing
  • Grill & Steak – Cooking to temperature, plating, seasoning
  • Pasta – Sauces, prep, portion control
  • Hot & Cold Larder – Salads, entrees, garnishes, prep

Requirements

  • Minimum 2–3 years experience in a busy commercial kitchen
  • Hands-on experience with woodfired pizza ovens
  • Strong work ethic & time management skills
  • Able to work nights, weekends & public holidays
  • Excellent communication & teamwork
  • Knowledge of kitchen hygiene, safety, and compliance standards

  • Australian working rights or eligible for 482 Visa Sponsorship

  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent

  • Previous pub, bistro or hotel experience
  • Menu development or costing knowledge

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $76,515.00 – $80,000.00 per year
