The Company

Australia Pacific Electrical Cables (APEC) manufacture and distribute high quality power cables, suitable for the domestic, commercial, industrial and mining segments. Over the last 25 years, we have built an enviable reputation for quality products and excellent customer service to the electrical industry. Our head office and manufacturing facility is located at Crestmead, Brisbane. We are part of an International Group engaged in the manufacture and distribution of electric cables.

The Role

We now have a permanent full-time opportunity for a suitably experienced individual to join our sales team. This role is a combination of sales support and administration, you will be working in a fast-paced environment. As a Sales Coordinator, you will be an active member of the team working closely with both internal and external associates. You are expected to be a part of a high-performance working culture ensuring top quality customer service is maintained. You should enjoy the challenge of juggling multiple tasks simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced environment where exceptional customer service is always the priority. Our team members have well-developed communication skills, a keen eye for detail and love the challenge of meeting deadlines and providing solutions to our customers daily.

Primary responsibilities in this role are:

  • Reliability and attention to detail.
  • Assisting customers with all enquires via phone or email.
  • Ensuring all data entry of orders and quotes are accurate and timely.
  • Establishing solid working relationships with internal staff and customers.
  • Support the external sales team, ensuring all customer enquiries/leads are dealt with to the highest standard.

Required skills and experience; -

  • Demonstrated ability to manage a high work volume and work calmly under pressure.
  • Working successfully within a team environment with the ability to work unsupervised.
  • Excellent problem solving, negotiating and decision-making skills.
  • Sales driven individual who has efficient time management, attention to detail, prioritisation skills and a strong sense of urgency.
  • The ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Computer literate with the ability to pick up new systems quickly.
  • High level of interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships.
  • Reliability and positive attitude are essential.
  • A proven track record in the Electrical Industry preferred but not essential.
