The Position
Arndell Anglican College is seeking a Director of Business Services who will be responsible for the strategic direction, development, implementation, and the management of the College's finances.
The Director of Business Services is a key member of the Executive Leadership Team at Arndell Anglican College and serves as a member of the College Council, undertaking the duties of Council Secretary. This pivotal executive role provides leadership and strategic oversight of the College's business and operational services, ensuring they are managed with excellence and in alignment with the College's Christian mission, values, and long-term vision.
The Director of Business Services holds responsibility for the strategic direction, development, implementation, and evaluation of the College's finances, facilities, human resources and payroll, risk and compliance, work health and safety, marketing and communications, administration, and trading activities. By overseeing these critical areas, the role ensures that the College operates with financial sustainability, operational resilience, and effective stewardship of resources, thereby supporting the delivery of high-quality educational outcomes.
As a non-teaching executive position, the Director of Business Services plays an essential role in enabling the educational mission of Arndell Anglican College by ensuring that the operational foundations of the College are strong, efficient, and future-focused. The incumbent is expected to model best-practice leadership and management, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement across all areas of responsibility. This includes leading diverse teams with integrity and vision, building strong relationships across the College community, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements.
In addition, through their role as Council Secretary, the Director of Business Services supports the governance of the College by providing sound advice, maintaining clear and transparent communication between the College Council and the Executive Leadership Team, and ensuring that governance processes are conducted with the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
