Are you a seasoned WordPress developer with a knack for technical project coordination and client support? Upstairs, a growing digital agency in Northbridge, WA, is seeking a motivated and ambitious individual to join our tight-knit team. We're passionate about lifting limits for our clients and having fun along the way.

What's the gig?

You'll be our primary WordPress expert, driving the technical success of website builds, providing essential help desk support, and assisting our account service team with technical insights. This role is perfect for someone with solid WordPress agency experience who is eager to grow their skills in modern web technologies.

Through our partnership with Mechanical Rock, you'll have the chance to expand your knowledge into Sanity, Git, React, NextJs, and Vercel, with plenty of support and training provided.

Here's what you'll be doing:

You'll:

  • Lead the technical coordination of website builds from discovery to launch, including planning, overseeing development, managing technical integrations (APIs), ensuring quality, and communicating technical updates.
  • Translate client requirements into clear technical briefs and document solutions for complex projects.
  • Manage our help desk, resolving technical issues for team members and clients efficiently.
  • Maintain WordPress sites (security, updates, performance) and advise the agency on best practices.
  • Oversee internal IT systems related to Accelo and Office 365/SharePoint.

You will need:

  • Solid WordPress website development, management, and troubleshooting experience in a digital/advertising agency.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a similar web development or technical project support role.
  • Strong understanding of web development principles, with practical experience in technical project coordination.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for assisting others with technical challenges.
  • A strong desire to learn and apply new technologies.
  • Proven experience with API integration and internal IT management.
  • Familiarity with Accelo and Office 365/SharePoint.
  • A good sense of humour.

Bonus:

  • Exposure to or interest in Sanity, Git, React, NextJs, Vercel, or SilverStripe.
