About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Communications Officer to join our team at the AngliSchools Head Office in Perth. This full-time role is responsible for helping shape clear, consistent, and engaging communication across internal and external platforms.

Reporting to the Director of Communications, the role plays a key part in delivering high-quality content, supporting media and digital communications, and enhancing stakeholder engagement. It's a great opportunity for someone who enjoys writing, editing, and digital storytelling—and who wants their work to make a difference.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft, edit and proofread a range of communication materials
  • Develop content for newsletters, reports, social media, and websites
  • Support digital communications using platforms such as WordPress and Mailchimp
  • Maintain accurate stakeholder contact databases
  • Contribute to event communications, campaigns, and media relations
  • Support the coordination of system-wide announcements and updates
  • Monitor digital performance metrics and suggest improvements
  • Help ensure all communications align with AngliSchools' brand and values

About You

You will bring a mix of creativity and structure to the role, with:

  • A tertiary qualification in Communications, Journalism, PR or similar
  • At least 5 years' experience in a communications, media or public affairs role
  • Outstanding writing and editing skills across formats
  • Experience using tools such as Mailchimp, Sendible and WordPress
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • A collaborative mindset and confidence working across multiple stakeholders
  • Understanding of values-based or not-for-profit organisations (desirable)
  • Familiarity with Canva or Adobe Express (advantageous)
