Blue Sky Drinks is a brand new, entrepreneurial beverage company with an exciting portfolio of Australian spirits and ready-to-drink (RTD) products. We're looking for a passionate Key Account Manager to join our team and drive growth within the independent liquor channel in Sydney or Melbourne.

The Role
As a Key Account Manager (Independents), you'll be responsible for managing and growing relationships with independent banners, wholesalers, MSO's and committee members. Working hand in hand with our national field sales partners Inspired Drinks. Your focus will be to promote Blue Sky Drinks' portfolio, deepen our connection and trading with indies, and ensure our brands shine in the competitive on- and off-premise markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key independent accounts (banners, wholesalers, MSO, hoteliers)
  • Drive sales growth by identifying opportunities, working within key customers programs and rhythms overlaying Blue Sky's brand portfolio drivers.
  • Collaborate with marketing to execute brand activations, promotions, and events to boost visibility and sales.
  • Communicate ranging programs and buy periods with relevant field sales team members monthly to communicate to the trade.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform strategy.
  • Deliver against sales targets and provide regular reports on account performance.
  • Represent Blue Sky Drinks at trade events, tastings, and industry functions.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in key account management or senior sales within the liquor, beverage, or FMCG industry.
  • Strong knowledge of the Sydney or Melbourne independent liquor market both on- and off-premise (National banner experience preferred.)
  • Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills with a track record of hitting sales targets.
  • Passion for Australian spirits and RTDs, with an understanding of brand positioning and market trends.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Valid driver's license and flexibility to travel within the region as needed.
  • Existing network within the independent liquor channel is a plus.
