The opportunity

We are seeking a dynamic, motivated and experienced Key Account Manager to join our successful team located in Ingleburn. This is an exciting opportunity to challenge yourself and grow your skills in a niche industry.

This role will focus on strengthening and growing strategic client partnerships

Reporting to the Head of Sales, your responsibilities include:

  • Develop and maintain detailed account plans for each strategic client, including multi-year growth and risk strategies
  • Map decision-makers, influencers, and procurement channels to ensure all opportunities are identified
  • Forecast revenue, margin, and project opportunities accurately for Head of Sales reporting
  • Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities across the full product and service portfolio
  • Lead initiatives to expand share of wallet and drive account revenue growth in line with agreed targets
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop tailored commercial proposals for key projects
  • Lead pricing discussions, contract renewals, and commercial negotiations with clients
  • Balance customer requirements with commercial profitability, ensuring agreements meet revenue and margin targets
  • Secure long-term agreements and reinforce Allight's position as the preferred supplier
  • Maintain accurate CRM records for all account activity, including pipeline, opportunities, and revenue forecasts
  • Report regularly on account performance, revenue risks, and strategic opportunities

To be considered for this role, you will need to demonstrate:

  • Proven experience in Key Account Management, Strategic Account Management, or senior sales roles, ideally in mining, industrial, or construction sectors
  • Ability to manage complex multi-level client relationships and large, multi-site accounts
  • Ability to quickly grasp complex technical and business concepts and express them in clear language
  • Possess excellent interpersonal presentation and communicational skills
  • Ability to upsell, cross sell across entire product suite, negotiate and close deals
  • Well-developed planning and time management skills, with the ability to work independently
  • Well-developed skills in CRM, office computing applications including MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint presentation software and email
  • Flexible and open to changing priorities and managing multiple tasks simultaneously within compressed time frames whilst maintaining a high level of attention to detail
