About Us

Third Wave BBQ is a fast-growing hospitality group known for unapologetically bold American BBQ, burgers, and smoked meats. With four successful venues and a major franchising push underway, we're scaling fast and need a strong operator to bring structure, systems, and accountability to the business.


The Role

We're seeking a results-driven Business / Operations Manager to take charge of day-to-day operations across multiple venues (excluding marketing). You'll improve efficiency, control costs, drive performance, and support the rollout of new franchise locations across Australia and overseas.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee FOH and BOH operations, with a sharp focus on COGS, wages, and food quality
  • Monitor and deliver on KPIs: labour %, COGS, wastage, profitability
  • Lead franchisee onboarding and operational setup
  • Develop and implement training systems and SOPs across venues and franchises
  • Coach and hold venue managers accountable, building a high-performance culture
  • Manage supplier relationships, procurement, and compliance
  • Partner with founders on strategic projects and expansion plans

What You Bring

  • Solid hospitality operations experience, ideally multi-site
  • Proven success in controlling COGS, wages, and KPIs
  • Experience developing training programs and scalable systems
  • Strong leadership and commercial acumen
  • Hands-on approach with a track record of lifting standards
