About the role

We're seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of critical business and technology initiatives across the IT function.

The Project Manager is responsible for leading the successful delivery of projects aligned with the organisation's transformation roadmap. This role will oversee end-to-end project planning, execution, and governance to ensure initiatives are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The Project Manager will work collaboratively with stakeholders, vendors, and delivery teams to drive outcomes, manage risks, and foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, lead, and deliver projects in alignment with the transformation roadmap, defining scope, objectives, timelines, and deliverables in accordance with PMO frameworks.

  • Develop and maintain integrated project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations, ensuring effective tracking and reporting of progress and financials.

  • Establish and manage governance structures, providing clear, timely reporting to stakeholders and Steering Committees.

  • Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, maintaining mitigation plans and ensuring appropriate escalation where required.

  • Ensure operational readiness and quality assurance, overseeing documentation, training, handover, and testing activities (Functional, Integration, Regression, and UAT).

  • Provide ICT delivery leadership, including solution design, system and cybersecurity architecture, and alignment with technical delivery standards.

  • Manage vendors and delivery partners, ensuring quality outcomes and on-time delivery of all technical components.

  • Collaborate with Product Owners and delivery teams to monitor progress, resolve issues, and maintain alignment with sprint and release goals.

  • Lead change management and release planning to ensure smooth implementation and adoption of project outcomes.

  • Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing culture, promoting continuous improvement and professional development within the team.

About You

You are an experienced and driven Project Manager with a strong background in digital and technology project delivery. You bring a balance of strategic insight, technical understanding, and people leadership to ensure successful outcomes across complex initiatives.

Key Requirements:

  • 8+ years' experience in digital and technology project management, delivering complex initiatives or business improvement projects.

  • Proven ability to manage projects ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and quality standards.

  • Skilled in Agile delivery, vendor and stakeholder management, with a strong track record of leading cross-functional teams and delivery partners.

  • Demonstrated expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and benefit realisation.

  • Capability in risk management, governance, and project reporting, with the ability to provide clear insights to executive stakeholders.

  • Proficient in project management tools and systems, confident in managing documentation, reporting, and quality assurance processes.

  • Strong communication, influencing, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build trust and engagement at all levels.

  • Knowledge of contemporary project management methodologies, system delivery frameworks, and governance practices.

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or industry-recognised certifications (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP, or SAFe Agile).
