About the role
Brisbane South PHN has an exciting opportunity to become part of our dynamic System Integration and Coordination team. With strong project management experience in health, you will support Brisbane South PHN in planning and responding to health system reform, strategic priorities and identified gaps in our community.
This is a full-time fixed term role to 18 December 2026.
The objective of this position is to:
- Support the successful implementation of The PRIDE Co-Design Project by coordinating the recruitment and engagement of 20 x primary healthcare clinical sites and providing quality improvement (QI) coaching and support to embed an LGBTIQA+ affirming Model of Care into mainstream primary care settings.
- Contribute to existing new and emerging health access and equity initiatives in collaboration with PHN teams, key partners, and sector stakeholders.

About you
To be successful in this position, you will bring the following:
Essential
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and experience in health management, health promotion, public health, and/or project management or equivalent level of expertise gained from a combination of experience, training, or professional accreditation.
- Understanding of the needs of diverse groups and intersectionality, particularly people who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander, LGBTIQA+, multicultural and/or people with disability.
- Demonstrated health experience in project management, including planning, implementation, and evaluation of initiatives.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with key partners and stakeholders to lead and contribute to initiatives effectively, demonstrating excellent communications skills, relationship building and the ability to work across diverse teams and organisations.
- Proven capacity to work autonomously and independently within the scope of the role, with the ability to collaboratively work on solutions, or escalate matters as appropriate
- Current Queensland driver's licence
- National Police Check
Desirable
- Understanding of quality improvement methods and techniques within a primary care setting
- Demonstrated ability to engage with general practice and primary health care providers in a clinical setting
- Demonstrated facilitation and/or coaching skills, with the ability to engage and support teams or groups to achieve outcomes.
