As an Emergency Nurse Practitioner (ENP) - RSQ you are a critical member of the RSQ team. The ENP role is required to work closely with the Hospital and Health Services, the RSQ leadership team and RSQ staff to deliver a telehealth model of care to rural and remote Queensland Emergency Departments.

What you'll do

The Nurse Practitioner (NP) will provide and coordinate comprehensive care of patients using advanced practice skills in the area of emergency in a telehealth environment. The role of the Nurse Practitioner RSQ will:

  • Function in a collaborative telehealth model to provide assessment, diagnosis, treatment and referral as required.
  • Provide safe, quality, cost effective care and practice within the Nurse Practitioner's approved Scope of Practice that is consistent with contemporary standards and evidence-based practice.

RSQ Telehealth provides you with the opportunity to:

  • Develop, collaborate and implement an innovative service model of care for Emergency Nurse Practitioners within the RSQ Telehealth environment
  • Develop relationships with multidisciplinary teams in rural and remote health facilities to support and ensure equity in the delivery of health care to patients across Queensland.
  • Work in a mentally stimulating and challenging role. You will be collaborating with diverse health providers in varied and unique environments to help implement models of care suited to their individual circumstance.

Your key responsibilities

  • Demonstrate a high level of clinical expertise, advanced interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate and consult with a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Provide expert clinical nursing and telehealth support to assist in the implementation of RSQ Telehealth Nurse Practitioner service models in rural and remote health settings. To achieve this, the NP will have sound change management skills, contribute to quality activities, support and foster innovation, drive results and support RSQ Telehealth and stakeholders' goals.
  • Sound understanding, including experience working in the unique working conditions in regional, rural and remote health service settings.
